We are "in the waiting room"! We found out yesterday that we were officially put on a waiting list for our children as of December 21! This is a HUGE step in the process and we are so excited:). Basically what this means is that our information is in the hands of the CWA Ethiopian staff and we are potential adoptive parents with a completed dossier. The original dossier should arrive there in the next few days and will be sent for translation so it's ready for court when we travel over to pick up the kids. There are probably a lot of people ahead of us who would have priority to children who become available, but we're trusting in God and His timing. CWA will not be releasing what number we are at on the list, as this can cause a lot of unnecessary anxiety. We were told that the wait for 2 young children is about 6-9 months, infant boys 4-5 months, and infant girls 9-12 months. I'm not sure if we'll get the referral for both of the kids at the same time or one at a time. We've been assigned a new CWA case worker who will walk us through the rest of our adoption journey and we're hoping to talk with him sometime before Christmas. Please continue to join us in praying for God's loving arms to surround our children this Christmas!

Our dossier is officially complete and at CWA in North Carolina! Yay! We went to DC on Wednesday, December 9th. Everything went very smoothly and we were done with all our paperwork by 10:00. My favorite part was the Ethiopian Embassy which was officially my first time on Ethiopian soil. The people there were so nice and we had a blast touring the place. We then did some sight-seeing of the war memorials and the American history Smithsonian. It was a great day and we're so thankful for God's hand on the whole thing! CWA is waiting on some final funds from us and then our dossier will be on the way to Ethiopia and our children will be one step closer to home:). Thanks for all your prayers!

We will be headed to Washington DC to spend the day at the department of state and then hopefully to the Ethiopian Embassy. Please pray for us, that all goes smoothly and we are able to get all accomplished that we need to! This part of our journey has gone really flawlessly and we are so grateful to God for opening doors for us.
