A Little Bit of Movement Goes a Long Way

There has been a little clock movement as of late which is very exciting! They actually added a new clock to clarify wait times for adopting 2 young children and age preferences. Kind of confusing, but doesn't really affect us too much.

Boys (0-24 months): August
Girls (0-24 months): September
2 Children (0-36 months): August
2 Children (0-48 months): NOVEMBER!!!!

We are on the 2 children (0-48 months) clock. This means they are currently working on families who got their dossier submitted in November. We got our dossier submitted in December, so we're getting closer! There's no telling how long it will take them to complete November families..days, weeks, months??? We'll just have to wait and see. We've had encouraging conversations with our case worker recently and are very hopeful that the next few months could hold our referrals. Please pray for steady referrals (not for children to come into the orphanages, but for paperwork to become ready for the little ones who have been sitting and waiting to be deemed "adoptable" so they can be referred to waiting families).

This past month God has been networking us with missionaries in Ethiopia, Ethiopia ministries, local orphan ministries, and within our own church. We are super excited to pull all this together for our first adoption fundraiser, Sunday, November 7th at 5:30. I'll do a separate post all about it, but please mark your calendars if you think you can make it!

Little ones-we're hoping and praying for you...can't wait to see your faces!

Somewhere Out There

I know blast from the past, but anyone remember the movie, American Tale? It was one of our favorites growing up. I woke up with this song in my head a few weeks ago and looked it up on Youtube. The lyrics are so sweet and I think anyone separated from ones they love can relate. Praying our little ones will SOON know that they have a mommy, daddy, and whole family who have been waiting and praying for them each step of the way!
