Justice-Restoration-Joy

These 3 words have been in our hearts for a long time, especially since we got our referral for little boy M and baby girl H. First an update, and then some thoughts...

We were very thankful to hear that the needed documents for our adoption can definitely be gotten (don't have them yet). When we were initially told about the new requirement, our agency wasn't sure if the documents could even be gotten for our case. The social workers are currently working on getting the documents (hopefully sooner than later) so we can move ahead. Evidently they need clarity as to the who's what's and where's involved in getting them.

Please pray with us, that God would continue to move in a mighty way over there, as many waiting children and families are affected by all this.

Our kids have lost so much...been through so much. It's so hard to think that papers are keeping us from moving toward bringing them home. The road toward restoration is a long, tiring, and painful journey. At the same time it's beautiful, joyful, and in our God, He makes everything new. But, the cost is great. We've really been wrestling through the tremendous pain and deep loss in our children's stories. A story that we've been entrusted with as their parents to carry for them and along with them as they begin to understand it all. As painful and joyful as this season is (quite the paradox at times), I know God is in this. I see His face and fingerprints everywhere I turn, every time I look at my children's faces.

This is our Father's heart...justice...restoration...joy

Little Ones-We are praying our Father's justice, restoration, and deep joy in your lives. May He open doors for us to come to you very soon. We will do whatever it takes and wait as long as it takes to get you home and safe in our arms forever.

If you have a few minutes, please listen to this song and pray for our children! This has been a special song we've played and prayed over them during this journey.

  2. For the few seconds that Judah let me hold him in the midst of playing, I was able to pray this over his little spirit. Thanks for sharing. Tears...
