One of the first questions we often get is why we chose to adopt from Ethiopia. Some wonder why we didn't choose domestic, China, foster care, etc. But, the reality is we didn't choose Ethiopia, God did. We entered the adoption process believing that it didn't matter where our children were from and we let God lead us as we looked at options.
At the time, Ethiopia was one of the only places we fit the requirements for and the door was open. That's just how God led our family. I love seeing how He leads other families on their adoption journeys. Who knows where and how He'll lead us as we continue to let HIM build our family. Here are some statistics about Ethiopia that broke our hearts as we learned more about the country and it's people.
